Policy Briefs

A policy brief is a summary of some issue, the findings of research about it, and recommendations for action that should be taken. The name "policy brief" doesn't sound very exciting, but these are informative, 4-page documents aimed at researchers and policy makers who can establish citizen science in their areas or institutions. They were written by various members of the Doing It Together Science project, in consultation with experts in the subjects, and are quite research-heavy. If you're interested in looking at some of the "behind the scenes" aspects of citizen science in detail, or if you would like to see citizen science being used to improve policy (in aspects such as inclusion, open science and the environment, for example), this may be the material for you.

When translated, these policy briefs will be shown on the Doing It Together Science Library in the new language, and translators will be thanked. Doing It Together Science would also issue a blog post indicating that they are available in more languages, and disseminate them in the country of the new language where possible.
